Wilmington recently hosted the Global Business Summit, a pivotal event focusing on strategies for navigating global markets, enhancing business resilience, and capitalizing on international opportunities. Held at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, the event was organized by Export Delaware, the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, and the Emerging Enterprise Center. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and gain valuable knowledge on expanding into international markets.

Marc Carver, Head of Global Business Development at Amazon, emphasized the importance of understanding local cultures and regulations when entering new markets. Oleg Kovalev, Director of Export Sales at Mountaire Farms, shared strategies for building resilient supply chains to withstand global disruptions. Mark Holden, Global Lead of Planning Excellence at AstraZeneca, discussed the role of innovation in maintaining a competitive edge internationally.

In addition to the main sessions, Export Delaware offered free export training designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs gain the knowledge and confidence to succeed in international markets.
